Jay Donley began his journey at the tender age of four, when he played a small fire in a church production.

This would kindle a flame for performance within him; joining more plays, making short films, and trying to emulate the swashbuckling he would see in the pictures.

After receiving his degree in Theatre from Eastern Michigan University he moved to Chicago where he continues to ply his trade on the stage, in short film, teaching workshops, and creating choreography.

Jay considers himself lucky to be working with the Patches again and looks forward to another great season of fine theatre, and fine people.

Jay Donley is most proud of the time he once wrestled a more than slightly tipsy adult brown bear to a begrudging draw.
