The Life and Death of

Julius Caesar

It must be by his death: and for my part,
I know no personall cause, to spurne at him,
But for the generall. He would be crown'd:
How that might change his nature, there's the question?
It is the bright day, that brings forth the Adder,

The stark tale of men's plots and conspiracies and how the decisions of a few determine the fate of a nation.

Our production is full-length (two-hours) and runs fast and furious.  Costuming, combat (gun and knife fights), and properties are all modern day-- iphones and Starbuck's.

Our purpose is to be true to Shakespeare's texts and not to let some "concept" or design interfere with understanding of the language and yet allow expected aspects of classical theatre free reign.

The Patches use minimal stage effects and scenery; but scenes of violence and what might be deemed "PG-13" content (ie. ribaldry and innuendo) are common in Shakespeare and part of the production. There is no nudity or added content.

"This felt real-- like something I think I've seen on the news.  I didn't expect to recognize all the stuff in the play as really happening."
